About
I am a Christchurch based artist, exploring the relationship between mind, body, and the senses through automatic drawing and large-scale, abstract finger paintings. My work draws from unconscious emotions, memory, and sensory experiences, allowing raw, expressive marks to emerge that reflect my internal state. I aim to create immersive, process-driven works that invite viewers to engage deeply with gesture and emotion.
Inspired by personal experiences of grief and anxiety, my creative practice and research investigates how sensory stimuli—such as touch, sound, and colour—shape emotional responses and mark-making. My works often become immersive environments where gesture, emotion, and sensory perception intersect.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (First Class Honours) from Massey University in 2022, I continue to push the boundaries of sensory exploration, art therapy, and emotional expression. My practice is deeply process-based, and I seek to create transformative, reflective experiences for myself and my audience.
